Terrarium Workshop - Bloom Collective | Carolyn Carter Blog

With Spring finally here the lighter warmer days have seen my house plants bounce back after a fairly dormant winter. My home seems to provide pretty good conditions for them to survive in, being a drafty, cool victorian terrace with a light & humid old conservatory on the back - my plants are thankfully thriving right now.

For me, the revival of the 1970's house plant is very welcome - there are so many benefits for bringing these green beings into the home, not only do they clean the air but instantly lift a space too. My little plant gang has been slowly growing and thanks to local florists, books and bloggers like these... I'm learning how to best care for them.

I recently spent a lovely couple of hours at a terrarium making workshop with local florist Bloom Collective. I can't recommend a bit of plant therapy enough, an hour of repotting, seed planting and getting your fingers dirty, does wonders for your mind & soul as well as your home!

New 'Water Flowers' print - Carolyn Carter photography

In other news...There's a new print in my shop!

I had such a huge response on Instagram from this picture I took whilst visiting Petersham Nurseries last weekend, that I decided to do a run of prints of it and just see how it went.

The image is of a range of beautiful flower heads floating in water.  The first batch of prints are currently available in my shop - in case you were one of the people that asked.

Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend, those of you in the UK :)
