Discovering Cornwall
For many people in the UK, Cornwall is their go to English holiday destination. But for me, I spent at least 15 years living in Greece, so I was hardly going to come to the UK for a summer holiday was I?
This May half term (when we had that mini heat wave, remember?) we dug out the tent and hit the road for a few nights of eco camping at the fabulous 'little wild campsite' and enjoyed some beautiful days exploring the wonders of the South Cornish coastline.
(I was reluctant to take my camera onto the sandy beaches... so a number of these images were taken on my phone.)
Favourite discoveries... Barbara Hepworth Museum, Leach Pottery, Folklore.Falmouth & Toro Studio, Glendurgan garden & Durgan by the Helford River.
I can't tell you how inspiring it was being immersed in the home of the late sculptor, Barbara Hepworth. She is truly a special lady and you really get a sense of that in the space she lived & worked in for 26 years.
I love how her workshop is still how she left it before she sadly passed away. The Tate have done a wonderful job of preserving the space and the garden is a dream to walk around.
Make sure you plan a visit if you're ever nearby!
Don't forget I've got a couple of photography workshops coming up with a few places left, so grab'em quick if you fancy learning how to take better pictures with your digital camera.
