Northumberland visit
We headed up to visit my Nana over the half term holiday and made the most of our ONE sunny day... here's some pictures to prove the sun did show its face :)
Despite spending a wonderful morning on this amazing beach, it was overshadowed by the news that a company is set to dig it up and develop a massive opencast mine! What a tragedy that would be to the locals, wildlife and natural scenery. Find out more here and help campaign against it by signing the objection letter. There won't be many places like this left if these things are allowed go ahead. :(
(Yes it was pretty cold and windy...)
We'd be crazy to deny future generations the enjoyment and beauty of this amazing place.
In other news...
...we discovered the beautiful gardens of Wallington House. We got their late afternoon just as it entered 'the golden hour' of light and the sun really worked it's magic on the place. Stunning!
Give kids a garden and they can get totally absorbed in play... here they are filling their pockets with petals and stones.
Fingers crossed the summer ahead will provide more sunshiney days like this (and less drizzly ones like today!)
