Postcards from Kent
Last weekend Jo (aka the little grey shed) & I set off down to Kent on a mini, child-free night away. Jo had booked us onto an origami workshop run by the brilliant Origami Est as a birthday treat.
We stayed in a lovely hotel, pottered round the cute little seaside town of Deal, ate out, drank wine and put the world to right.
I have never really explored this side of England so it was all new and great to see it in its windy, wintery bleakness. No doubt a far cry from the buzzing, warm summery months.
Here are some postcard pictures of our stay:
Sunday afternoon we headed to the Pop-up cafe in the centre of the town for the Origami workshop. We learnt how to make diamond shapes using the prettiest papers by designer Esme Winter.
It was a fun, creative afternoon with Esther and we left feeling inspired and fuelled up on coffee, sausage rolls & chocolate brownies ready for our 3 and half hour drive home again! :)
Thanks again Jo! x
p.s. I have added 3 new dates for my camera workshop - one is for this coming Friday in case you're interested in learning how to take better pictures with your digital camera?
