I scored this adorable little dolls cot on ebay a couple of weeks back. Needless to say it was in a sad condition and in need of a fresh coat of paint & a new fabric on the base.
We set to work, Jemimah & I. She actually helped a lot and seemed to see the potential it had, instead of the scruffy old thing I initially arrived home with. A girl after my own heart.... :)
She got really into the sanding and painting bit!
...and I discovered tacking fabric onto the base isn't too tricky... and actually quite fun.
Here's the result of our efforts...

I sewed a little cloud cushion to go in it out of an old vintage pillow case I picked up...
and how could I not include this cheeky face...?
There's nothing quite like the satisfaction of giving an old, discarded piece a new lease of life. :)
